Bachelor of Arts

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in economics provides students with a traditional course of study focused on learning and applying economic tools, but is designed to provide students with a greater exposure to a more traditional liberal arts education than the BS degree. Both degrees are excellent preparation for the world of work, in the near and long term, and for graduate school, whether in economics, business law, or some other area.

New and prospective students should refer to the most recent (2007-08) catalog for a detailed description of the economics curriculum, available on the registrar's website: http://www.neu.edu/registrar/courses/cat0708-092-104.pdf . Current students should check their progress by doing a degree audit at the undergraduate student portal (www.myneu.neu.edu).
