Sungwoo Kim is Professor of Economics at Northeastern University, Boston. His areas of research are the economies of North and South Korea and investment behavior of firms. He has published extensively in Journal of American Statistical Association, Journal of Regional Science, Land Economics, Journal of Energy and Development, Logistics and Transportation Review and Asian Survey, among others. His previous positions include Research Economist at the University of California, Berkeley, and Senior Economist at the Center for Econometric Study and Planning in Rome, Italy. Professor Kim holds BA and Ph.D degrees in Economics, both from the University of California at Berkeley.
