Oscar T. Brookins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Northeastern University, Boston, where his areas of interest are Money and Finance, Macroeconomics, Urban Economic Policies, and the economies of Turkey and Cyprus. He has previously held positions at the Universities of Ghana, Tanzania, Notre Dame, SUNY College at Buffalo and Virginia State University. In recent years he has taught at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Turkish North Cyprus. He has published in The Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Development Studies, American Economist, American Journal of Economics and Sociology, and several other journals. He holds an AB degree in Mathematics from DePauw University, an MA in Economics from Northeastern University and the Ph.D. in Economics from State University of New York at Buffalo.
